Video: platform updates (March 2024) 

<p><strong>1. New Parts View</strong><br/>Additional parts which may be of interest are now shown along the bottom and the side of the screen in a sliding reel which can be toggled between.<br/>This can also be navigated using the arrow keys on the keyboard.<br/><br/><strong>2. Open parts information from the basket</strong><br/>Parts within the basket can now be opened by clicking on the part number link in the basket.<br/>This will then display the pricing and parts drawing.<br/><br/><strong>3. Parts Drawings Preview in Subgroup Lists</strong><br/>To make it easier to find the parts they are looking for, a small image preview is visible in the subgroup parts list.<br/><br/><strong>4. Print Vehicle Data Card</strong><br/>The filter options have now been embedded into the parts list, which can be selected and deselected while searching for parts.<br/><br/><strong>5. Select or deselect all parts in the shopping basket<br/></strong>The full cart can be selected or deselected by using the checkboxes. Only items that are selected will be processed when once at checkout.<br/>If the basket contains a combination of parts that are selected, and deselected, a “-” symbol will appear in the checkbox for that vehicle/dealer site.<br/><br/><strong>6. Order number/reference is now visible in order history</strong><br/>In the order history, the order number/reference entered during the basket checkout is displayed.<br/><br/><strong>7. Timelines for delivery and pick-up slots</strong><br/>Delivery and pick-up time slots are now displayed during checkout. This is based upon the availability of the parts ordered.<br/>The information is based upon any the data that has been input by the selected dealer.</p>

B2B Connect – Release Letter March 2024

<p>The size of the control unit software increases with new vehicle models. Workshops therefore need longer to transfer control unit software via OBD to vehicles. The data transfer rate via OBD is limited to 100 Mbit/s.</p>
<p>With the USB to LAN adapter, we now offer a XENTRY Diagnosis accessory product which enables transfer of control unit software to the vehicle at 300 Mbit/s. Waiting times for control unit programming are therefore shortened. The prerequisite is that the workshop network is fast enough.</p>
<p>If the USB to LAN adapter and retail data storage are not in the same subnet (Class-C subnet), there may be restrictions in use with older head unit software. End of Support and Deactivation of All Retail Data Storage 4 Terabyte (TB) Systems 

<p><strong>1. New shopping cart deletion function</strong><br/>Products in the shopping cart can now be deleted more easily. There are various new deletion functions available for this:<br/>1. Delete all parts/products from a specific shopping cart (e.g. basket for parts, digital products, diagnosis products, equipment)<br/>2. Delete all parts with or without VIN assignment<br/>3. Delete all parts sold by a specific retailer</p>
<p><strong>2. Adding parts in basket</strong><br/>We have integrated a search into the shopping basket, allowing you to add parts directly. Prices, availability and additional information are all included, and you can also jump to the parts list by clicking on the part name.</p>
<p><strong>3. Print vehicle data card</strong><br/>In B2B Connect, it is possible to print the vehicle data card.<br/>The function is located in the vehicle details as well as in the vehicle fly-in. After clicking „Print Details“, a new tab opens in the browser, displaying a printable preview of the vehicle data card.</p>
<p><strong>4. Search History</strong><br/>To simplify the usage of B2B Connect, we have integrated a search history feature into our search bars. The last 15 entries are saved there, allowing for quick research on the same topic.</p>
<p><strong>5. Notification about specially changed vehicle</strong><br/>The user gets notified about special changes to the vehicle when entering the parts catalog in a FIN/VIN context.<br/>In addition to the pop-up notification with the option to view the changes directly, the hint is also displayed on the vehicle data card and above the parts catalog.</p>
<p><strong>6. Order History Print</strong><br/>Orders can be printed from B2B Connect order history. To do this, navigate to Account -&gt; Orders and open the detailed view of an order.<br/>In the top right corner, you will find an option to click „Print“.<br/>Clicking on „Print“ will open a new tab in your browser with a preview of the document.</p>
<p><strong>7. Order History Export</strong><br/>Orders can be exported from B2B Connect Order history. To do this, navigate to Account -&gt; Orders and open the detailed view of an order.<br/>In the top right corner, you will find an option to click „Export“.<br/>Clicking on „Export“ will enable you to select the format. You can choose between Excel or XFR.</p>
<p><strong>8. Save vehicles without datacard</strong><br/>In B2B Connect, it is now possible to save vehicles without a data card.<br/>This change particularly affects vehicles manufactured before 1985. After saving, you can select aggregates such as the engine or transmission within the vehicle data card. Opening the catalog afterwards no longer requires the selection every time.</p>
<p><strong>9. Contact form for reporting content and violations, complaints or sharing illegal content from trustworthy whistleblower</strong><br/>Users from EU countries can utilize a digital contact form on the B2B Connect provider/data protection page to report content and violations, submit complaints, or relay illegal content to a B2B Connect contact point as trusted whistleblowers.<br/>The contact form aligns with the implementation of obligations under the Digital Services Act (DSA), which applies to the entire EU.</p>

<p>Mercedes‑Benz genuine spark plugs are optimally tuned to the respective engine of a Mercedes‑Benz. In this way, they ensure high levels of performance as well as lowfuel consumption. In order to test their product quality, they were pitted against six comparable competitor products. Test institutes such as <strong>NGK Spark Plug GmbH</strong> (now Nitera GmbH), <strong>Fraunhofer IWS</strong> and <strong>Aspect Quality GmbH</strong> were involved.<br/><br/><strong>Example salt spray test:</strong> Here, the influence of water spray or saltcontained in the air were simulated. Even after 100 hours of testing, Mercedes‑Benzgenuine spark plugs exhibited no signs of red rust. <p>Since January 2023, we have been developing Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect step by step, with many new functions and a new look. The basic idea is to focus even more on the customer&#x27;s vehicle – for even greater efficiency in your workshop.</p>

<p>Important to know: Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect will be transformed into a tool in several phases in order to gradually introduce the new functionalities to your independent workshop. Further adjustments will follow. </p>

From July 4: even more features

<p>Due to the further separation of sales activities, as a consequence of the split of Daimler AG into two separate legal entities, the DTAG plans to start to distribute Diagnosis Hardware and Software with DT data scope as of 01/01/2024.<br/><br/>For current MBAG customers with an MB and DT (&quot;mixed&quot;) StartKey (including the XD4R StartKey) in the transition phase up to the end of 2025, this requires a decision to be made by May 31, 2023.</p>

<p><strong>Period of use for Hardware and/or Software expires in 2024/2025/2026</strong></p>
<p>For technical reasons, as of January 2024 „mixed“ Startkeys are no longer possible, there can only be either the MB- or the DT-Startkey. We therefore kindly ask our customers to choose their preference:</p>

<p><strong>Customer choosing the MB-Startkey:</strong></p>

<li data-type="DISC"><section><p>In this case no further activity is required.</p></section></li>
<li data-type="DISC"><section><p>You keep your current Diagnosis device until the end of the recommend period of use of 42 months. MBAG will remain your contract partner for Diagnosis Hardware. On the Hardware, the DT-Startkey part will be deleted, so that as of January 2024 the MB Startkey only will be available until the end of the recommended period of use.</p></section></li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Customer choosing the DT-Startkey:</strong></p>

<li data-type="DISC"><section><p>You keep your current Diagnosis device until the end of the recommended period of use of 42 months. MBAG will remain your contract partner for Diagnosis Hardware. On the Hardware, the new DT-Software will be remotely installed and will be available as of January 2024 until the end of the recommended period of use.</p></section></li>

<p>Note for customers with rented systems and a period of use until 2026:<br/>Hardware will be returned to MBAG at the end of 2025. We will provide further detailed information for our customers in time.</p>

<p><strong>Updated GTC</strong></p>
<p>In this context, we would like to inform you again about our updated GTC (General Terms and Conditions regarding the Use of Applications and Data Content – provided by Mercedes-Benz AG – for After-Sales ) entering into effect on 01/01/2023. <p>Since the end of January 2023, your independent workshop has been benefiting from the latest developments in Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect – from even smarter navigation to the restructured overview of customer vehicles and the independent detail page for each vehicle.<br/><br/><strong>From now on, you can benefit from many more innovations in the portal:</strong></p>

<p>Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect is transforming itself from a web portal into a central work tool that will support your work processes in an even more targeted and intuitive way. This means: <strong>the customer vehicle will move even more into the centre</strong> – for 100% focus on the current task. In future, you will be able to conveniently call up and directly use all information, functions and work from the vehicle.</p>

Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect gets even smarter

<p>As of <strong>December 5, 2022</strong>, Damage Code will be another powerful module within <strong>XENTRY Operation Time</strong>. This is part of the XENTRY Operation Time product - no separate costs are incurred.<br/><br/>With Damage Code, image-based damage key determination will be available via a stand-alone application integrated into the XENTRY Parts Information and XENTRY Operation Time applications. The Damage Code is required in the day-to-day work of the factory for warranty and goodwill claims. See for yourself.</p>

<p>With the new <strong>XENTRY Diagnosis Lite</strong>, you get everything you need for diagnostics, flashing and coding. <p><strong>• Automatic indication of availability of dynamic wiring diagrams<br/></strong>If there are dynamic wiring diagrams for a vehicle, they must be used as they provide the latest content for working on the vehicle. This can be recognized by the fact that the DWD icon for Dynamic Wiring Diagram is active in the left function bar. XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Operation Time now available for independent workshops

<p>Since October 2021, the new module &quot;Dynamic Wiring Diagram&quot; is available to every WIS user in B2B Connect. Due to the VIN-specific display of &quot;Dynamic Wiring Diagram&quot;, the user is only shown the wiring diagram that is relevant for his vehicle. A time-consuming search for the vehicle equipment and system jumps are no longer necessary. This, together with other search and filter functions, helps the user and contributes significantly to reducing possible search errors in the repair and diagnosis process. Further information on components, for example, can also be displayed with just one click. &quot;Dynamic Wiring Diagram&quot; is linked to the right WIS; a separate order is therefore not necessary. Please note that from the end of 2021 wiring diagrams for new start-ups and model maintenance will only be available in the &quot;Dynamic Wiring Diagram&quot; module. Therefore, you should preferably use this module for schematic research.</p>
