The data transfer speed via OBD is limited to 100 Mbit/s. Thanks to the USB to LAN adapter, you transfer the control unit software to the vehicle at up to 300 Mbit/s. Incl. 10 m Cat5e LAN cable.

For commissioning, programming and coding of control units (XENTRY Flash operations), a second authentication is mandatory for every user (in addition to login with user name and password). For authentication, you need one of the following factors:

<li>Smartphone authentication app (e.g. PingID, Microsoft Authenticator)</li>
</ul>
Or
<ul style="list-style-type: disc;">
<li>USB security key: This can be freely selected if it corresponds to the FIDO2 standard. Available from specialist electronics retailers or directly from the manufacturer.</li>
</ul>
 We recommend setting up both options right away. If you lose one of the authentications, you will remain able to work with the second one! We provide you with a compact HelpCard (<a rel="noopener" href="https://b2bcfrontdoor.azurefd.net/prod/media/r4ojmkhx/helpcard_multi-factor-authentication_enu.pdf" target="_blank" title="Helpcard Multi Factor Authentication ENU">PDF</a>) to help set up the factors.
<h3>Resetting the second authentication factor&nbsp;</h3>
If you can no longer authenticate yourself, you have the following options: 1) If you have lost/forgotten your smartphone but have set up another second factor (USB security key), you can use it. 2) If you have not set up an alternative second factor, contact your org. admin. This can reset the second factor so that you can define a new authentication factor. Two-factor authentication for XENTRY Flash processes

A distinction is made between two user rights:
<ul style="list-style-type: disc;">
<li>XENTRY Standard Diagnosis (for diagnosis users without XENTRY Flash authorizations, e.g. read and delete fault memory)</li>
<li>XENTRY Flash users (corresponds to the current XENTRY Flash user)</li>
</ul>
 The respective user rights are assigned as follows: 1. XENTRY standard diagnosis rights: Each diagnosis user must independently request the standard diagnosis right via <a rel="noopener" href="https://aftersales.mercedes-benz.com/spa/home/#/" target="_blank" data-anchor="#/">https://aftersales.mercedes-benz.com/spa/home/#/</a> and carry out the one-off identification. If necessary, the user must still be created in GEMS via the market-specific ISP support if no user ID is available. 2. XENTRY Flash authorization: Both XENTRY Flash roles (standard flash role and the additional flash role for all CeBAS vehicles) can be requested via UMAS. Each user must identify himself once for XENTRY Flash authorization. This process can also be started in <a rel="noopener" href="https://aftersales.mercedes-benz.com/spa/home/#/" target="_blank" data-anchor="#/">UMAS</a>.

<h3>Multi-factor authentication: your security advantage for all XENTRY applications.</h3>
When using XENTRY applications, you benefit from multi-factor authentication (MFA), which will be mandatory from April 1, 2025. This allows us to protect your data and ours even more effectively against unauthorized access.
To access a XENTRY application, you will need:
