What is DSB?

The abbreviation DSB stands for "Digital Service Booklet ". DSB is used to record maintenance-relevant service data. Following successful service work, the workshop carrying out the work enters the data into a central database protected against access by third parties. In this way, there is no entry in a traditional service booklet. A "digital service report" is generated as proof in the DSB system, printed out if necessary and handed over to the customer.

Can maintenance and service operations of Mercedes-Benz vehicles also be documented without DSB?

The online maintenance documentation is mandatory for all vehicles listed below, as an original maintenance record for Mercedes-Benz vehicles can only be generated in this way.

  • E-Class and CLS-Class (as of production date September 2007)
  • SL and SLK-Class (as of production date March 2008)
  • All other car model series (as of production date June/July 2008) except SLR, G-Class and Maybach
  • All van model series, Sprinter, Vito, Viano (as of production date October 2012) and Citan (from start of production)
  • smart (as of market launch of model series 453)

DSB is not installed on your computer. It is a web application that can be called up within Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect.

You can access the DSB if you meet the system requirements and are an independent workshop that can professionally (according to manufacturer specifications) repair and maintain Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
