XENTRY Pass Thru EU *MFA required

Yes. XENTRY Pass Thru EU is per se an online diagnosis solution: When XENTRY Pass Thru EU is started, access authorizations and application data are compared online; Without an online connection, this check fails and XENTRY cannot be started. When accessing diagnosis from the XENTRY Frame, the available time credits of the user account are also queried online; If the credits cannot be checked online, it is not possible to access the diagnosis.

The Pass Thru device must always meet the Pass Thru standard and can be purchased on the open market.

The following Pass Thru devices have been tested by Mercedes-Benz AG and are recommended for XENTRY Pass Thru:

• Actia Passthru + XS 2 G
• Bosch KTS 560
• ADIS technology EURO VCI

Due to a new PC/laptop/tablet, the current start key of a XENTRY Pass Thru EU/XENTRY Diagnosis Lite no longer works.
The hardware ID assigned to the start key must be changed.

Proceed as follows:

• Log into B2B Connect and navigate to "Account" -> "Licenses"
• Under "Active licenses", select the relevant system, e.g. XENTRY Pass Thru EU.
• Click on "Change" next to the hardware ID
• Then enter the new hardware ID and confirm with "Save ".

On completion of the change, the system is assigned to the new hardware ID. You will receive an automated email with the change confirmation.

The diagnosis time credit status is checked for a specific vehicle every time diagnosis is started from the XENTRY Frame. If there is no "used" time credit, the next new available time credit is used. This credit runs continuously from this point on, even if the diagnosis or XENTRY is terminated. This means, for example, that a credit balance of one hour after opening is actually valid for exactly one hour, even if only a few minutes are diagnosed and XENTRY is then terminated; If an attempt is made to start the diagnosis after the hour has elapsed, a new time credit is used. If a time credit expires during a diagnosis session, the diagnosis can continue until the next vehicle change.

XENTRY Pass Thru EU is only recommended if you already have a diagnosis PC/laptop-possibly already with other diagnostic applications from other manufacturers-and if you only want to diagnose Mercedes-Benz/smart cars and vans certified according to Euro 5/Euro VT. Model series and models not certified to Euro 5 or 6 or Euro VT (e.g. Cars W210 or Euro VT commercial vehicles) are not included in XENTRY Pass Thru EU.

Comprehensive diagnosis of all model series is only possible with the standard solution XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 4.
