1. Safety Data Sheets for Chemical Products

  • Safety Data Sheets are now available via a link during checkout process.

  • Easily see if any products contain hazardous materials, as required by European Law.

  • This information will always be visible in the checkout area and at the bottom of the order confirmation.

Do you use one or more of our XENTRY applications (e.g., XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Tips, XENTRY Parts Information)? Then you benefit from enhanced security with every access, as the use of multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now mandatory. This ensures targeted protection of your data and ours against unauthorized access.

To access a XENTRY application, you will need:

  • Username and password

  • Authentication app (smartphone or Windows desktop) or USB security key

Please take note of the attached information letter on the end of support and contract termination of all XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3 systems.

Please also note that the HMS 990 USB measurement technology is only compatible with XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3, but not with XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 4. Therefore, the HMS 990 USB can no longer be used after June 30, 2025 due to the end of support for XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3.

Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect – Release Letter February 2025

1. Parts recommendations: Jump to the drawing

With our last release, we implemented the parts recommendation modal in the parts catalogue. To make it even easier to identify the parts that are suggested to you, we have linked the drawing. If you click on the underlined name of a part, you will be navigated to the corresponding subgroup and drawing in the catalogue. The selected part is highlighted.


2. Parts campaign on landing page

To place your dealer's parts campaigns even more prominently, they are now displayed directly above the vehicle list. This means you can see immediately after logging in to B2B Connect whether your dealer is running a campaign with discounted prices for you. The dealer also has the option of informing you about other campaigns. To be able to see the information, you must select the relevant dealer.


3. XENTRY Tips with VIN

If you open XENTRY Tips via the ‘Work on vehicle’ page, the VIN is transmitted directly. This allows you to continue working directly in the vehicle context in XENTRY Tips.


4. Export of the basket

It is now possible to export the parts shopping basket in B2B Connect. The available formats are PDF, XLSX and XFR. All parts that have been selected are always exported. If a part is not ticked, it will not appear in the export.


5. Simplified dealer selection

If you do not yet have a retailer relationship in B2B Connect, you can select your desired retailer directly via the header. For users with an existing retailer relationship, the selection for additional retailers remains available under Account > Retailer.


6. DSB headlamp check

In the service entry for Service A, B or an intermediate service, the headlamp check is now a separately listed activity. If you have performed this, you must tick the corresponding checkbox in the DSB.


7. Promotion Video on public landing page

As you probably already saw when you logged in, a promo video has been integrated into the public homepage of B2B Connect. The video appeals to interested parties and new users of B2B Connect.

End of support and deactivation of all Retail Data Storage 4 terabyte (TB) systems

Please note that all Retail Data Storage 4 TB systems will be deactivated on July 1, 2025 as they have exceeded their useful life of 42 months, are technically obsolete and have full hard drives due to the greatly increased size of ECU software. If you are still using a Retail Data Storage 4 TB system, please replace it with the current model Retail Data Storage 2 as soon as possible. All details can be found in the attached information letter.

1. Parts Recommendations

B2B Connect will suggest additional parts that may be of interested based upon the parts being selected and added to the basket.
These will be added directly to the basket if selected.


2. XENTRY Tips App Removed

The standalone access to XENTRY Tips has been removed from B2B Connect.
XENTRY Tips can still be accessed via ‘working on the vehicle’ in the vehicle information area.
Valid credits for XENTRY Tips, or XENTRY Combo Package activation is required.


3. Saving Vehicles Update

If a vehicle that has been input in the search bar, is not a vehicle that is saved, there will now be an option to save this vehicle directly.
This will lead to faster identification and saving of vehicles.


4. Larger Parts Thumbnails

To enable more effective and efficient identification of parts, the icon thumbnails have now been made larger.

Your request now appears on the main page of the Xentry Support System (XSS) under "My Support Requests". Click on "Details" to open the request.

At the same time, you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail with a link to XSS and your request.

For each new messages from our support, you will receive another e-mail with the link. In XSS, the number of new messages appears next to the bell symbol.

 

When you open a request, you will see an overview with the status of your request and all details.

Under "Comments" you communicate with our support team and read the messages, queries or solutions to you.

Click on "Add comment" to reply.

 

You can now write a message and upload attachments if necessary.

Click on "Submit" to send your message.

 

When queries are resolved or if no response is received from the requester within approx. 2 days, the request is closed.

You can reopen a closed request within 7 days. To do this, click on "Reopen".

1. XENTRY Combo Package

Access to all repair and maintenance information for a VIN using time credits.

The XENTRY Combo Package includes access to:

  • XENTRY WIS

  • XENTRY Operation Time

  • XENTRY Tips

This can be accessed via the ‘Product Information’ section via ‘Repair & Maintenance’ tab within the menu.

 

2. XENTRY Combo Package – Time Credits

There is the option to purchase credit packages in quantities of either 1, 5 or 10.


3. XENTRY Combo Package – Working on the Vehicle


To redeem the credits, navigate to a saved vehicle and open ‘Working on the vehicle’.

There will either be the option to use existing credits against this vehicle, or it’ll show the remaining time available if already redeemed.

All relevant XENTRY systems will also be visible at the bottom of the page.


4. XENTRY Combo Package – Credit Overview

An overview of all XENTRY Combo Package credits will be displayed within the ‘Products’ section in the main navigation menu on the left.

A list of all credits, including expiration date, activation history, and vehicles applied to will be displayed.


5. XENTRY Combo Package – Vehicle List

Within the vehicle list on the homepage, there are new labels to identify that a XENTRY Combo Package is available.

The ‘Unlocked’ label next to the vehicle VIN shows that the time credits have already been activated.

To navigate directly to to the XENTRY Combo Package, click on ‘Access’ next to ‘Repair and Maintenance’.

Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect – System Update – July 2024

1. Print Basket
The shopping basket can now be printed before completing the order.
Only the selected parts with a tick in the box will be included once the print button is clicked.

2. Workshop Information Integration
Workshop information is available for each part in the catalogue.
To access this, click on ‘XWIS Documents’ under the part information.
A window will open with the workshop documents corresponding with the selected part.*
* Only users with the valid WIS time credits can access the documents.

3. Additional Parts Suggestions
If a part requires additional parts for installation, this will be shown in this pop up once the part is added to the basket.
The additional parts will also be placed in the basket with the originally selected part.

4. Replacement Parts
If a part number has changed, the previous information will be accessible by clicking ‘View replacements’.
All previous part numbers will be listed with the current part number clearly marked at the top.

5. Vehicle Data Card Enhancements
The vehicle data card has been expanded to include all fluids and quantities for the vehicle.
There is also more information included in the vehicle data card accessible via the blue vehicle icon available while on other pages.
Information such as SA codes are now displayed for easy access.

6. New XENTRY Application Integration
Wheel Alignment Online (WAO)* is now available on B2B Connect and can be found within ‘Working on the vehicle’.
This application assists with wheel adjustments required on vehicles.
* Valid WIS credits are required to access the application.

7. Multi-Factor Authentication
To amend any company or user information, multi-factor authentication will now be required due to legal requirements.
The authentication is carried out via the application ‘Ping-ID’. To access please download the application via your device’s App store, or alternatively there is also a Windows desktop version.

8. Remove Retailer
There is now the ability to terminate a relationship with a Mercedes-Benz Retailer.
To do so, select the site and click the ‘Remove retailer’.
A pop up will appear to confirm that the relationship between Customer and Retailer will be terminated.

1. Catalog entry
The catalog entry has been visually completely redesigned to simplify the beginning of your parts search. Instead of long lists, there are now search fields and dropdowns to make it easier for you to find the right part.

2. Catalog entry - Search
You can certainly start your parts search using the two search fields at the top of the home page.
In the first search field, start with a VIN or model. Previous entries are saved and displayed. As a result, you will be redirected to the catalog.
In the second search field you can enter part numbers directly or search for keywords. The results are displayed directly.
To provide the best results for your search, combine both search fields.

3. Catalog entry – series & model
If you do not know the series and model or looking for a special aggregate, you can use the three-stage selection within the dropdowns.
First, select the appropriate division by clicking on the corresponding image. The options for aggregate, series and model are then available to you.

4. Parts catalog
In addition to the catalog entry, the catalog itself has also received a visual overhaul.
The main focus was on simple user navigation, including different main groups.
In addition, the categories were removed and the well-known aggregate structure was included.

5. Parts catalog – Aggregates
After you have entered the parts catalog, you need to navigate to the part you are looking for. First, select the corresponding aggregate in the header of the catalog. If the unit is not unique to the previously selected vehicle or model, you can select the fitting one.

6. Parts catalog – Maingroups
On the left side you will now find a list of all main groups for the selected aggregate.
A search bar simplifies your navigation to the desired main group.
If you need more space on your screen for the drawing and parts list, you can also minimize the main group list to the numbers. By moving the mouse over the numbers, the names of the groups become visible again briefly.

7. Parts catalog – Subgroups
The selection of the desired subgroup takes place in the main area of ​​the catalog and is supported by the preview of the exploded drawings.
Once you have selected a subgroup, the corresponding drawing and parts list will be displayed. A change in drawings and subgroups is still maintained by using the slider that we presented to you in the last release letter.

8. Parts catalog – order type
You can now change the order type in the catalog at any time. Immediate demand and stock ordering are the options available to you.

9. Parts catalog – language selection
It is now possible to change the language of the parts catalog directly. All languages ​​are available to you, regardless of the language selection in B2B Connect itself.
The setting only affects the elements of the parts catalog. Aggregates, main groups, subgroups and parts themselves are included.
Navigation elements in the header, sidebar and footer areas as well as all website content are unaffected by this language selection. For these areas, the language can be changed in the website header.

10. Parts catalog – saving vehicles
If you entered the parts catalog with a VIN that is not yet saved in your vehicle list, you can do so quickly and easily in the catalog.
In the header you can click “Save” next to the VIN.
In addition to document services, you can also view an order history for this vehicles. You will also be informed about upcoming service or customer service measures in the vehicle list.

11. Parts catalog – Classic vehicles
In B2B Connect you can also store classic vehicles without digital data card. To do this, simply enter the VIN and, after checking that it is correct, save it in your vehicle list.
You can now select and save the correct aggregates in the data card of the vehicle overview. This means you don't have to look up the unit numbers for every repair job to get to the correct part.

12. Parts packages
The parts packages are now integrated into the page navigation. The packages have the same design as the parts catalog itself. On the left you will find the main groups. You can browse these or collapse them to create more space on the screen.
In the main area of ​​the window you will find the packages belonging to the main group.
Selecting a package opens the included parts list. Related packages are displayed, too.

13. Paints & Fluids
Paints and fluids have found a new place in the navigation bar on the left side of the screen. The design of the parts catalog is retained to ensure easy operation. The main groups can be searched or collapsed. If a main group has been selected, the subgroups are displayed in the main area of the screen. By opening the subgroup, the list of paints and supplies is displayed.

New: USB to LAN adapter for faster data transfer during control unit programming

The size of the control unit software increases with new vehicle models. Workshops therefore need longer to transfer control unit software via OBD to vehicles. The data transfer rate via OBD is limited to 100 Mbit/s.

With the USB to LAN adapter, we now offer a XENTRY Diagnosis accessory product which enables transfer of control unit software to the vehicle at 300 Mbit/s. Waiting times for control unit programming are therefore shortened. The prerequisite is that the workshop network is fast enough.

If the USB to LAN adapter and retail data storage are not in the same subnet (Class-C subnet), there may be restrictions in use with older head unit software. You can find further information on the product, prerequisites for use as well as instructions for commissioning and use in the USB to LAN adapter area.

Shock absorbers: original vs. competitor

Different manufacturers offer shock absorbers of varying quality. Even when new,their behaviour can differ severely from the desired target characteristics of the genuine shock absorbers. This has also been shown in tests conducted by the vehicle technology testing centre at Dresden's Technical University. Weather resistance to wear and tear or braking distance evaluation: in a comparison of the four shock absorbers tested, the Mercedes-Benz genuine shock absorber performed best.

In comparison: spark plugs from seven manufacturers

Mercedes‑Benz genuine spark plugs are optimally tuned to the respective engine of a Mercedes‑Benz. In this way, they ensure high levels of performance as well as lowfuel consumption. In order to test their product quality, they were pitted against six comparable competitor products. Test institutes such as NGK Spark Plug GmbH (now Nitera GmbH), Fraunhofer IWS and Aspect Quality GmbH were involved.

Example salt spray test: Here, the influence of water spray or saltcontained in the air were simulated. Even after 100 hours of testing, Mercedes‑Benzgenuine spark plugs exhibited no signs of red rust. By comparison: more than half ofthe competitor products already started to show visible signs of red rust after just25 hours; this became worse after 100 hours.

Oil filter: original vs. competitors and copy

Major visible differences with the oil filters of other manufacturers and even the copies are not immediately evident. But a product test was able to reveal significant deviations in quality. The latest results from the independent testing institute IFTS (Institut de la Filtration et des Techniques SĂŠparatives) in France show the advantages of using Mercedes-Benz Genuine Parts. The main focus of the competitive comparison was on the decisive criteria of manufacturing quality, pressure resistance, contaminant retention capacity and separation efficiency.

Engine air filters in competitive comparison

The competitive comparison was carried out by the independent testing institute fiatec Filter & Aerosol Technologie GmbH. The direct comparison shows drastic differences in quality. These could be aconsiderable safety risk, particularly in the case of copies, e.g. the risk of fire in the engine compartment. In contrast, Mercedes-Benz genuine air filters are compared as offering, among other things, the best filter efficiency, the longest durability, and the highest protection against damage to the engine.

Windscreen wipers: original vs. 14 competitors

Windscreen wipers must work reliably even at high speeds and in extreme weather conditions. The independent VOLKE corporate group from Wolfsburg tested genuine windscreen wipers by Mercedes-Benz in comparison with many important competitors.

The result: The Mercedes-Benz genuine windscreen wipers are far ahead of the competitive products in the overall result. From the design and handling to the wiping pattern when new.

Brake pads and discs in competitive comparison

The independent test institute DEKRA has carried out various tests.

The conclusion: Genuine brake pads and discs from Mercedes-Benz achieved the top overall score when it came to fracturing resistance, friction value and wear. They are designed to optimally fit the respective vehicle model.

Competitive comparison: starter battery (AGM technology).

The independent, DEKRA-certified test laboratory Batterieingenieure GmbH from Aachen (Germany) tested the Mercedes-Benz genuine starter battery A 001 982 82 08 against five comparable competitor products from Germany and the USA.

The conclusion: The Mercedes-Benz genuine starter battery performs in all tests, whether preliminary tests (checking the nominal values of capacity and electrical current), cycle tests with 50% and 17.5% depth of discharge or charge acceptance tests 1 and 2.

Since January 2023, we have been developing Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect step by step, with many new functions and a new look. The basic idea is to focus even more on the customer's vehicle – for even greater efficiency in your workshop.

Benefit from the next further development of the portal from July 4, 2023:

Important to know: Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect will be transformed into a tool in several phases in order to gradually introduce the new functionalities to your independent workshop. Further adjustments will follow.

XENTRY Diagnosis – Important information regarding XENTRY Diagnosis Hardware and/or Software with “Mixed” data scope

Due to the further separation of sales activities, as a consequence of the split of Daimler AG into two separate legal entities, the DTAG plans to start to distribute Diagnosis Hardware and Software with DT data scope as of 01/01/2024.

For current MBAG customers with an MB and DT ("mixed") StartKey (including the XD4R StartKey) in the transition phase up to the end of 2025, this requires a decision to be made by May 31, 2023.

What do you need to consider?

Diagnosis systems with MB and DT ("Mixed“) StartKey (including XD4R StartKey):

  • As already communicated in September, new orders or order changes of "Mixed“ StartKeys are not possible anymore.

  • For existing contracts whose useful life ends in 2024/2025/2026, please note the following procedure:

 

Period of use for Hardware and/or Software expires in 2024/2025/2026

For technical reasons, as of January 2024 „mixed“ Startkeys are no longer possible, there can only be either the MB- or the DT-Startkey. We therefore kindly ask our customers to choose their preference:

 

Customer choosing the MB-Startkey:

  • In this case no further activity is required.

  • You keep your current Diagnosis device until the end of the recommend period of use of 42 months. MBAG will remain your contract partner for Diagnosis Hardware. On the Hardware, the DT-Startkey part will be deleted, so that as of January 2024 the MB Startkey only will be available until the end of the recommended period of use.

 

Customer choosing the DT-Startkey:

  • Please inform MBAG until Mai 2023 (via XSF or Email xentry.customer.support@mercedes-benz.com) and under specification of the respective system number that the MB-Startkey is not wanted.

  • Please ensure to order your new DT-Startkey at DTAG in time. DTAG will provide further details in time.

  • You keep your current Diagnosis device until the end of the recommended period of use of 42 months. MBAG will remain your contract partner for Diagnosis Hardware. On the Hardware, the new DT-Software will be remotely installed and will be available as of January 2024 until the end of the recommended period of use.

Note for customers with rented systems and a period of use until 2026:
Hardware will be returned to MBAG at the end of 2025. We will provide further detailed information for our customers in time.

Your central work tool: Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect gets even smarter

As an independent workshop, you already benefit extensively from Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect - thanks to convenient access to original products for diagnosis, repair and maintenance in one portal. But it gets even better:

Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect is transforming itself from a web portal into a central work tool that will support your work processes in an even more targeted and intuitive way. This means: the customer vehicle will move even more into the centre – for 100% focus on the current task. In future, you will be able to conveniently call up and directly use all information, functions and work from the vehicle.

Some of the features that we will gradually integrate by summer 2023:

  • Intuitive navigation structure for even more convenient access to information, functions and products – directly from the displayed customer vehicle

  • Vehicle status always in view, e.g. regarding upcoming services

  • Faster finding and purchasing of required parts and solutions 

  • Practical parts recommendations and access, e.g. for maintenance packages

Important to know: Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect will be transformed into a tool in several phases in order to introduce your independent workshop to the new functionalities step by step. Further adjustments will follow by summer 2023.

Introducing Damage Code as a new powerful module

As of December 5, 2022, Damage Code will be another powerful module within XENTRY Operation Time. This is part of the XENTRY Operation Time product - no separate costs are incurred.

With Damage Code, image-based damage key determination will be available via a stand-alone application integrated into the XENTRY Parts Information and XENTRY Operation Time applications. The Damage Code is required in the day-to-day work of the factory for warranty and goodwill claims. See for yourself.

New: XENTRY Diagnosis Lite – available from 05.09.2022!

With the new XENTRY Diagnosis Lite, you get everything you need for diagnostics, flashing and coding. In addition to the diagnostic software, you also receive the multiplexer XENTRY Diagnosis VCI for the first time. The coordinated software and hardware enables a stable and fast connection when communicating with the vehicle. All Mercedes-Benz passenger car, van and smart model series from model year 2004 onwards are supported.

The product offers the following range of functions and diagnostics:

  • Quick test - up to 50% faster*

  • Diagnosis for all installed ECUs of all model series from model year 2004 onwards**

  • Basic diagnostics (actual values, actuation)

  • Commissioning (flashing, coding, parameterization)

  • Reading and deleting of fault memories

  • Guided and functional diagnosis

  • Key programming, FBS4 services - from August 2023!

New functions in XENTRY WIS

• Automatic indication of availability of dynamic wiring diagrams
If there are dynamic wiring diagrams for a vehicle, they must be used as they provide the latest content for working on the vehicle. This can be recognized by the fact that the DWD icon for Dynamic Wiring Diagram is active in the left function bar. In this case, the static wiring diagrams of info type pe may no longer be used.

To indicate this, the following message is displayed as soon as a WIS document search is started that contains the info type pe as search criterion:



• Deactivation/activation of synonym search in the advanced full-text search, in the advanced document title search and in the notification window for a high number of hits:
- If the hit list is too large for a full-text search in documents or document titles, you can jump directly from the search to the user settings to deactivate the synonym search
- If the search word was not found during a full-text search in documents or document titles or the number of hits is too small, you can jump directly from the search to the user settings to activate the synonym search

• Note on a more recent document version in another language:
If a displayed document is available in another language in a more recent version, an orange button is displayed at the top right with which the latest document can be displayed. The languages set by the user in their user settings are taken into account (language cascade for the document content languages).



• Vehicle identification: Easier selection of the vehicle type for unambiguous vehicle model designations:
If a vehicle model designation is unambiguous with regard to the vehicle type, the vehicle type selection is automatically opened and the vehicle type can be selected with 1 click.

• Hiding/displaying the short validity of documents
The short validity at the beginning of documents can be hidden and displayed again by pressing a button. This makes it easier to read the document in the event of long validity data.
The button is located at the top right of the document display.



Please use the 'What's New' in the XENTRY WIS Online Help for further information and detailed descriptions of the new functionalities. For the 'What's New' display in XENTRY WIS, the corresponding button is at the top right, which is highlighted in red for new entries.

As of quarter 4/2022 additional authentication for XENTRY Flash operations

XENTRY Diagnosis is now becoming even more secure!

For commissioning, programming and coding of control units (XENTRY Flash operations), an additional, second authentication for each user is mandatory as of quarter 4/2022. Take action now, we will show you what you have to do!

For authentication, you will need one of the following factors as of quarter 4/2022

  • Smartphone authentication app

OR

  • USB security key
    You can use any key of your choice, as long as it supports the FIDO2 standard.
    Available from specialist electronics retailers or directly from the manufacturer.

Recommendation: Set up both factors - smartphone app and USB security key!

XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Operation Time now available for independent workshops

Since 11.04.2022, independent workshops and Independent Service Providers (ISPs) will also benefit from the XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Operation Time (XOT) products. The applications can be accessed via B2B Connect or the AfterSales Portal as well as other ISP platforms. A separate order is not required. XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Operation Time are linked to the respective WIS/ASRA rights.

This is new

  • Mobile device application: Convenient research on tablets

  • Integration into existing system landscape and after-sales processes: Uniform design, simplified application and stronger networking of after-sales information

  • JAVA/OWS clients are no longer required

  • Research of workshop information in the new, slim design

  • Your Plus - Dynamic Wiring Diagram (DWD). Find wiring diagram information exclusively relevant to your vehicle with just a few clicks

  • With the help of FIN/VIN-based filtering of operation items and times, efficient workflows in the workshop process are facilitated by XENTRY Operation Time

  • Daily updates ensure the actuality and highest quality of operation items and times

New feature DWD (Dynamic Wiring Diagram)

Since October 2021, the new module "Dynamic Wiring Diagram" is available to every WIS user in B2B Connect. Due to the VIN-specific display of "Dynamic Wiring Diagram", the user is only shown the wiring diagram that is relevant for his vehicle. A time-consuming search for the vehicle equipment and system jumps are no longer necessary. This, together with other search and filter functions, helps the user and contributes significantly to reducing possible search errors in the repair and diagnosis process. Further information on components, for example, can also be displayed with just one click. "Dynamic Wiring Diagram" is linked to the right WIS; a separate order is therefore not necessary. Please note that from the end of 2021 wiring diagrams for new start-ups and model maintenance will only be available in the "Dynamic Wiring Diagram" module. Therefore, you should preferably use this module for schematic research.
