XENTRY WIS

Where can I access information on passenger vans?

Information on passenger vans (V-Class, Viano, Vaneo) is included in the passenger cars division.

Can documents from XENTRY WIS be printed or downloaded?

Documents from XENTRY WIS can be printed. However, no download function is available.

Where can I change the language in the application?

You can select your chosen language in the application on the menu bar under “Setup”.

Where can I access information about recommended service intervals for my vehicle?

For older vehicles, this information is included in the service booklet, which comes with the vehicle. For newer vehicles, this is automatically controlled via the service indicator on the display and depends on the operational condition of the vehicle.

Is there a synonym search in XENTRY WIS?

In XENTRY WIS there is a synonym search. In the WIS full-text search or the document title search, synonyms are taken into account. The synonym search can be switched on or off in the XENTRY WIS user settings.

Is there service literature for older vehicles?

The service literature for older vehicles is included in WIS Classic . WIS Classic can be accessed from within XENTRY WIS via the "WSM" (WIS Service Media) button.

WIS Classic currently contains the documentation for the following model series: 

105, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 120, 121, 123, 124, 126, 129, 140, 180, 201, 202, 210, 460, 461, 463;

Why is Dynamic Wiring Diagram not available via XENTRY WIS (tile greyed out)?

Only the current MB passenger car series are available in the DWD module. Circuit diagram information for older models as well as VAN will continue to be available exclusively as electrical circuit diagrams (information type PE) in XENTRY WIS. After entering the VIN, the tile for Dynamic Wiring Diagam in XENTRY WIS remains greyed out.

What are the differences between XENTRY WIS und WIS?

This is new with XENTRY WIS:

  • Mobile Device Application: Convenient research on your tablets

  • Integration into existing system landscape and after sales processes: uniform design, simplified application and stronger linkage of after sales information

  • JAVA/OWS clients are no longer required

  • Research of workshop information in the new, streamlined design

  • Your advantage - Dynamic Wiring Diagram (DWD). With only a few clicks, you can find the wiring diagram information, which is relevant for your vehicle

Are MAC computers supported?

No, only Windows operating systems are supported.

Can I use my access on different computers?

Yes, you can use your access on any internet-enabled computer that meets the relevant system requirements. However, you cannot sign in and open applications with the same user ID several times at once.

Where can I find the test data for brake systems?

According to §29 of the StVZO (Road Traffic Permit Act) in Germany, Mercedes-Benz AG as a vehicle manufacturer is obligated to provide appropriate test data as part of the main inspection, emissions testing and safety inspection for the purpose of vehicle monitoring and inspection. The provided information is related to:

  • Brake reference values for hydraulic brakes

  • Brake reference values for pneumatic brakes

These brake reference values can be found in the XENTRY WIS (Workshop Information System) under Group 42.10, "Service brake", job title "Test braking power of the service brake“. You will need access rights to the XENTRY WIS to view the data.
