What is the XENTRY Combo Package?

With XENTRY Combo Package, independent workshops are enabled to purchase packages in the sizes of 1, 5, or 10 credits: after activating the XENTRY combination package for a FIN/VIN of their choice, users get 24-hour access to XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips. They are enabled to access and use the VIN-specific content within these software applications. This represents an alternative to the time slice model for RMI, where independent workshops can purchase individual product accesses for 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year.

What is a VIN?

A VIN, or Vehicle Identification Number, is a unique code assigned to every motor vehicle when it is manufactured helping to uniquely identify each motor vehicle.

What products are included in the XENTRY Combo Package?

The XENTRY Combo Package provides users with a 24-hour access to XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips. Other software applications like XENTRY Parts Information, XENTRY Pass Thru EU, XENTRY Diagnosis Lite, etc. are not included and must be purchased individually.

Which VINs can the XENTRY Combo Package be used for?

The XENTRY Combo Package can be used for VINs of all vehicle divisions (i.e. Passenger Cars, Vans, and smart).

What happens to unused credits?

Unused credits will automatically expire one year after purchase. The number of credits that will expire (incl. expiration date) are shown in the “Products” tab within the “Account” section. Please note that unused credits can’t be refunded or transferred.

What is the difference between the credits of the XENTRY Combo Package and time slices for repair and maintenance information (RMI)?

The key difference between the XENTRY Combo Package and RMI time slices for individual software applications is that XENTRY Combo Package provides users only access to repair and maintenance information for the VIN that has been activated: hence, the VIN can’t be changed within the included applications. On the other hand, purchasing RMI time slices for individual software applications (e.g., 1 week of XENTRY WIS) provides users access to all repair and maintenance information included in the application, irrespective of the VINs that will be used during the purchased period of time. Also, the XENTRY Combo Package offers an all-in-one access to XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips so that the software applications must not be purchased individually. This makes the XENTRY Combo Package a cost-effective alternative to purchasing individual time slices of all three XENTRY products (savings depend on the scope and period of use).

In which markets is the XENTRY Combo Package available?

The XENTRY Combo Package is currently only available for users based in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Northern Ireland.

Does the XENTRY Combo Package substitute the time slices for repair and maintenance information (RMI)?

No, the time slices for XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips will still be offered.

Who can purchase credit packages?

Workshop employees who have a registered Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect account and provide the company’s VAT ID, can purchase credit packages.

How can I purchase credit packages?

Credit packages can be purchased at different touchpoints in Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect, provided you are logged in:

Option 1: Navigate to “Product Information” in the website header and select “Repair & Maintenance Information” and then “XENTRY Combo Package”. You can purchase credits in the upper right-hand area of the product page.

Option 2: Open a vehicle from your vehicle list and navigate to “Working on the vehicle”. Your XENTRY Combo Package credits are displayed here, including the “Purchase credits” option.

Option 3: After your parts selection for a customer vehicle, you can click on “XWIS Documents”: if you currently don’t have an active access for XENTRY WIS (or if you have not yet activated this VIN), you can select “Purchase credits”.

How do I allocate purchased credits to individual users?

Purchased credits are automatically allocated to the entire workshop: all workshop employees who have access to Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect can use the credits.

Can I see how many credits I have left?

Yes, you can check the number of remaining credits at various touchpoints within Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect, provided you are logged-in:

Option 1: Navigate to the “Products” tab within the “Account” section. You now have an overview of your available credits.

Option 2: Open a vehicle from your vehicle list and navigate to “Working on the vehicle”. Your XENTRY Combo Package credits are displayed here.

Option 3: On the product page of XENTRY Combo Package, you can also see your current number of remaining credits. Simply navigate to “Product information” in the header of the website and select “Repair and Maintenance Information” and then “XENTRY Combo Package”.

How many credits can I order?

Eligible users can purchase credit packages in the sizes of 1, 5, or 10. However, the number of currently unused credits must not exceed 50 credits per workshop organization.

How do I activate a credit to get VIN-based access?

To activate an access, you need to open a vehicle from your vehicle list and navigate to the section “Working on the Vehicle” where you can select “Unlock VIN”. Please note that VIN activations are only user-specific which means that only the user who activates a VIN is provided with access to VIN-specific repair and maintenance information within XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips. After a VIN is activated, the number of remaining credits is automatically reduced by 1. If no credits are available, you first need to purchase an additional credit package via the button “Purchase credits”.

Who can use the activated access to the XENTRY Combo Package for a VIN?

Only the user who activates the XENTRY Combo Package for a VIN is provided with access to VIN-specific repair and maintenance information within XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips. If another user needs access to repair and maintenance information for the same vehicle, this user must also activate the XENTRY Combo Package for the specific VIN. An overview over which user currently has, or previously had, access to which VIN can be found in the “Products” tab within the “Account” section.

Can I activate the XENTRY Combo Package for any VIN?

Yes, you can activate the XENTRY Combo Package for any valid VIN across vehicle divisions (i.e. Passenger Cars, Vans, and smart) except for VINs that belong to scrapped or stolen vehicles.

For how long is the XENTRY product activation for a VIN valid?

A VIN-related product activation is valid for 24 hours from the time of activation: within this period of time, all users who activated a product for a specific VIN are enabled to access the repair and maintenance information for this specific VIN which is available in XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time and XENTRY Tips. The activation date and time and the remaining validity period for each activation can be found by navigating to the “Products” tab within the “Account” section.

Can I extend the validity period of a VIN-related product activation?

To extend the validity period of a VIN-related product activation, you need to activate the XENTRY Combo Package for this VIN again after it has expired. This will provide you with another 24-hour access to VIN-specific repair and maintenance information within XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips. It is not possible to extend the validity period of the VIN-related activation to less than 24 hours. Please note that another activation will reduce your credits by 1.

Where can I check the current XENTRY Combo Package activation status of my customer vehicles (VINs)?

The current status of a VIN-related XENTRY Combo Package activation can be checked at various touchpoints within Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect:

Option1: In your vehicle list, “activated vehicles” (VINs) are highlighted by an icon (”Unlocked”).

Option 2: Open a vehicle from your vehicle list and navigate to “Working on the vehicle”: the “XENTRY Combo Package” module shows you the remaining validity period of this VIN-related product activation, provided it is currently active.

Option 3: In the “Products” tab within the “Account” section, you can find the current activation status of each VIN, its activation date and time, and – if applicable – the remaining validity period.

What repair and maintenance information do I get via the XENTRY Combo Package?

Once the XENTRY Combo Package for a VIN has been activated, the user gets access to all repair and maintenance information that are available for this specific VIN (this vehicle) within XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips. However, the user is not able to change the VIN within the included applications: if access to repair and maintenance information for another vehicle is needed, the XENTRY Combo Package for the respective VIN must be activated separately.

How can I use the software applications in the XENTRY Combo Package?

To access and use the software applications included in the XENTRY Combo Package (XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips), you need to open a vehicle from your vehicle list and navigate to the section “Working on the vehicle” where you can activate the XENTRY Combo Package for this VIN (“Unlock VIN”). Afterwards, all above-mentioned applications are activated for this VIN: to open any application, you simply need to click on the corresponding box (or the link-out symbol in the top right corner). Please note that, for the XENTRY Combo Package users, access to applications is only possible via Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect: if you directly open the so-called “Aftersales Platform”, you will no longer find any product tiles.

Can I activate the XENTRY Combo Package for a VIN while already having a purchased another product via time slice model?

If you currently have, for example, active access to XENTRY Operation Time (e.g. for one week), you can still unlock a VIN-related access to XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Tips. XENTRY Operation Time will still be fully available to you, whereas XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Tips will only give you access to vin-specific content for the activated vehicle. However, if you have already purchased all three products, you already have access and therefore cannot activate the vehicle additionally.

How much does the XENTRY Combo Package cost?

Credit packages are offered in the sizes of 1, 5, or 10. One credit being priced at EUR 19.00, 5 credits are available for EUR 90.00 and 10 credits for EUR 170.00.

What payment methods are available for the XENTRY Combo Package?

Payments for credit packages can only be made via the Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect payment methods available in your market (i.e., PayPal and credit card).

When do I receive the invoice for my purchased credit packages?

The invoice for your ordered credit packages will be sent by post within approximately 4 weeks after the order date: there is no possibility to view or download your invoices directly in Mercedes-Benz B2B Connect.

Can I get a refund if I used a product activation for a VIN for less than 24 hours?

No, the XENTRY Combo Package grants users an access to XENTRY WIS, XENTRY Operation Time, and XENTRY Tips for a maximum of 24 hours irrespective of the user's actual usage behavior / time.
